Engineers!

We can learn how to be engineers! This week we spent time learning about engineers and the design process. We incorporated science, reading and math into our lesson. The problem we were solving (as engineers do) is how to design and create the best habitat for our new class pet Max, the hamster (Stewie passed away about a month ago). We had to create to scale models of Max's cage belongings and then experimented with design layouts based on Max's needs. Each student will take turns trying out and reflecting on their design (hopefully Max won't mind too much!).
