Block Play

During one of our math centers today we played with blocks! Blocks are an very important tool that allow students to freely create and experiment. Block play stimulates learning in all domains of development; intellectual, physical and social-emotional and language.

A few things we've been doing...

We read "A Bad Case of the Stripes" and had fun creating ourselves out of paper...and I bet you thought your house was messy! Our classroom beat that today!! It's a good thing this lovely group of learners are good at cleaning up!

The Time Has Come

The 2015-2016 school year is about to begin! I am VERY excited to be back in a busy classroom! It's always hard to say goodbye to summer but I cling to the fun memories created. A few highlights from my summer include taking the kids camping and  rock climbing at Tettgouche State Park in Sliver Bay. If you have never been to Tettgouche you must plan a trip!

I was also very busy this summer tending to my garden. I love to garden and experiment with plants and growing. This year I tried growing plants in straw bales; it was successful but the plant growth was slow.

We also took a trip out to Madeline Island.
